I love this work it's so impressive, delicate, intricate, it's amazing.
I can't imagine being able to produce anything half as impressive as this, but it's experimentation time. I guess seeing as this man is the expert I should copy his lead and use white A4 paper, glue and a pencil. I wonder how random the ideas are or whether before he starts he knows the shapes he will cut out and the shapes he will produce. I'm using 80gsm white paper which I notice he seems to use on the less structural works. For instant the butterflies that have been semi cut out have been done with an 80gsm piece, I guess this piece requires less structural integrity than the towers and buildings which appear to use 115gsm. Anyway as I said this is an exploration so I'll again use what I have. I guess a basic knowledge of origami may help the process, although because I don't really have this I might do a bit of research into this as well.
